30 Nov Winter’s tale…
Once upon a time, there was a year that was really rather stinky.
That year was 2020. The nation was locked up and the only saving grace was Summertime, with an early spell of sunshine the people delighted in good weather and brighter days.
I don’t know about you, but I tend to put my Summer wear to the back of my closest and bring all my warmer clothes to the forefront around now…. hard to believe this year has nearly gone. Some would say good riddance!
So with December starting tomorrow, I am craving warmer fabrics, it’s most certainly time to get out the woolly dresses and even (Christmas) jumpers out. We live in a 16th century hall, suffice to say it’s a bit chilly in Winter. But having grown up in old houses, it was always put another log on the fire or put a (Christmas) jumper on. That is most certainly what we will be doing…
I was thinking about a new suit for myself, and as Corderoy has always been a bit of a favourite of mine, that is what I am going for. It has such a soft texture, yet its hardy and warm. It makes it an absolute winner for a Winter outfit. The colour waves from Lora Piana and many of the mills are just fabulous, I am thinking a burnt sienna for my next addition.
Stay safe and warm!
